Will I get a reminder for upcoming items due if I am the creator of the tasks?

Yes. If you are the creator sending yourself a reminder to do something you will not be notified that you made the tasks however you will be notified that there is an upcoming or overdue tasks. This can be found next to the bell (notifications) area.
